INDIANA BOROUGH
Indiana Borough Police report two theft investigations, one a burglary and the other a wallet stolen from the Fourth Street Sheetz.
Police say that on August 9th, a Sheetz customer put down a wallet on a counter near a lottery machine and forgot to pick it back up. A woman then picked up the wallet and left the store. The only description of the suspect is a female wearing a black shirt and shorts with a multi-colored skirt overtop of the shorts. She wore black sandals and had a short haircut.
The other theft occurred between August 14th and the 20th in the 300 block of Blairton Avenue. The victim told police someone broke into his garage and stole 24 hunting traps.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Indiana Borough Police at 349-2121.
ARMSTRONG TOWNSHIP
A 15-year-old Indiana girl suffered minor injuries in an ATV crash last Saturday afternoon along Wood Road in Armstrong Township. State police say the girl’s four-wheeler slid out on the gravel road and rolled over on a right-hand curve. The girl was partially ejected and was taken to the Indiana Regional Center. A 17-year-old girl riding with her was uninjured.
BRUSH VALLEY TOWNSHIP
Police say a driver damaged a highway in Brush Valley Township early on August 6th. They know the vehicle model, but not the name of the driver. A half-mile gouge in the pavement of Route 56 was caused when a tire popped on a ’99 Infiniti QX4, and the driver abandoned the vehicle. Police had it towed from the scene. The driver will be charged with not taking the required financial responsibility for the damage.
