The Steelers are home again, returning to their team complex on Pittsburgh’s South Side after breaking camp at Latrobe. They held their first workout yesterday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, in preparation for the third preseason game in Tennessee against the Titans on Sunday night.
Coach Mike Tomlin says the transition to Pittsburgh serves as a signal to the team that the regular season is approaching, and he and his coaches will use the time as a “simulation week”.
Less than a week after having surgery, linebacker Ola Adeniyi was back with the team yesterday. He had a torn meniscus repaired. The undrafted free agent is expected to miss about month.
The Steelers play the Titans in Nashville on Sunday night. You’ll hear the game on WDAD, AM 1450 and FM 100.3.
