The Pirates were clubbed by the Cubs in the 3rd annual Little League Classic in Williamsport. Starter Mitch Keller gave up six runs in the 7-1 loss, including two home runs over four-and-a-third innings. Starling Marte hit his 21st home run of the year for the Bucs.
The Pirates start a four-game set against the hot-hitting Washington Nationals tonight. Trevor Williams will start for the Bucs while Joe Ross starts for Washington. The Pirates will continue their homestand Friday against the Cincinnati Reds.
