For the past week, youngsters have been at Camp Seph Mack at Yellow Creek State Park for the State Police’s “Camp Cadet” program. On Friday, the cadets got a visit from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf.
This marked the Governor’s first ever visit to a camp cadet program, which is offered by state police across the state, and provides the cadets with experiences in law enforcement and military. Friday, the Governor got a tour of the camp, and got to observe a National Guard class on military tactics and a State Police class where cadets poured over a mock crime scene looking for clues.
Governor Wolf said he was impressed with the young people and what Camp Cadet offered.
Today is the last camp day for the cadets, their graduation day. More pictures from the Governor’s visit can be found on our Facebook page.
