The Altoona Curve was able to hold off the Reading Fightin’ Phils with a 1-0 win on Friday in Altoona. The lone run of the game came off of Darnell Sweeney after he hit a two-out double in the 8th inning that scored Michael Tolman. Blake Cederlind got the victory, with Matt Eckelman picking up the save. The two teams play again tonight.
