After knocking off two-time defending state champ Hamburg on Saturday, Young Township moved into Day Two at the State Senior Legion Tournament yesterday. They played two games and couldn’t hold off the offensive onslaught in either of them, falling to Mifflinburg, 15-0 in the early game, and in an elimination game against Hamburg, they were outslugged by Hamburg, 18-16.
In the second game, Brady Yard was 3-for-4 with a double and six RBI in the second game. Ethan Prugh had a double and single and Zach Hreha had two hits and 3 RBI. Brady Astolos had two hits as well.
Hamburg then went on to hand Mifflinburg its first loss of the tournament, and those two teams will play today to decide the championship, which, technically, is called the Pennsylvania Legion Division Two championship.
