Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas will hold plea court sessions today. Included among those making pleas today are:
- Devin Butler of Coral, who is facing drug-related charges in two separate cases. In a case from January of 2016, Butler was charged with two counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver and one count of simple possession. In a case that happened a month later, Butler was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to the same crime and simple possession. Butler has been before the court before on charges of receiving stolen property in two separate cases.
- Brenda Lee Klingensmith of Clymer, who is facing charges in an incident from June of 2016. She was charged at the time with theft by deception, retail theft, conspiracy to both of those charges, and receiving stolen property.
- Heather Naomi Smith of Indiana, who is facing charges in four separate cases. In each case, she faces a single charge of retail theft. Three of those charges occurred on three consecutive days between December 10th and 12th of last year. The fourth count of retail theft comes from an incident on April 16th of this year.
- Vernon Hazlett III of Indiana, who faces charges in two separate incidents. In an incident on October 14th, Hazlett was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving on a suspended license, unlawful use of an ATV, and other summary charges. Another incident he was involved in had charges of Burglary, Criminal Trespass and theft connected with a series of incidents in Pine Township where he was accused by state police of stealing a stereo and a set of speakers from a shed in Pine Township and selling the items on Craigslist.
