Just a week ago, Neil Fox and his Boyertown Bear Cubs baseball team arrived in Indiana County for the start of the Youth Legion state championship tournament. But before the action could even get underway, Fox had a new concern. He took ill and was rushed to the Indiana Regional Medical Center Bork Emergency Center.
Fox describes his medical emergency:
Surgery was scheduled for Monday, and Fox says Dr. Andrew Billon was terrific…even though the doctor would not grant him one specific request.
He had particular praise for the nursing staff, both in the ER and throughout his stay at IRMC.
Fox’s Boyertown Bear Cubs did not go home with a championship trophy, but he went home happy – and impressed – with the care he received at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
Fox’s gall bladder surgery was performed by Dr. Billon using IRMC’s da Vinci Robotic Surgery System.
