There are a number of criminal cases on the docket today for the Indiana County courts, including the sentencing of a Puxsutawney man for sex crimes.
27-year-old Allan Mahan of Punxsutawney will be sentenced for a guilty plea to felony corruption of minors in a plea bargain in which three felony charges and one misdemeanor offense will not be prosecuted. The case originated in 2015 and involved an underage victim. The charges were filed last October.
Also in court today, 29-year-old Jonathan Daniel Malloy of Monroe, Louisiana, will be sentenced for DUI (fourth offense) in a plea bargain agreement on charges filed in November of 2017.
There is Plea Court today for 19-year-old Salik Wright, an SCI Pine Grove inmate from Franklin County who is serving time for terroristic threats, simple assault, and offenses related to robbery. He’s charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment for an incident at the prison in January of this year.
The court schedule also includes fifteen DUI cases, most of which include additional offenses, at which defendants will both plead guilty and be sentenced.
