Indiana County firefighters had a rather busy day yesterday, and there has been one activation already today. There were a couple of brush fires, one along Old Route 56 in Young Township, to which Coal Run/McIntyre and Iselin/West Lebanon firefighters were dispatched. And the other shortly before 2 PM along West Lake Drive in Banks Township. Glen Campbell firefighters were summoned initially, and Rossiter was dispatched a short time afterward.
Other fire calls included a landing zone set up by Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters along Palmerton Road in Burrell Township; an accident on Route 119 in Rayne Township for which Marion Center and Plumville firefighters were called; Indiana firefighters were called for another crash on Route 422 in White Township; a transformer fire answered by Homer City firefighters just after 9 PM at the First Commonwealth Bank Field in Center Township, which delayed the Youth Legion baseball tournament for about two hours; and a crash at 1:23 this morning on Maruca Road in Young Township. Coal Run/McIntyre and Iselin/West Lebanon were dispatched.
