At the Youth Legion State Tournament in Homer City yesterday, Homer City’s Walbeck Insurance lost to the Boyertown Bear Cubs, 11-1, in a six-inning mercy rule game that was delayed for about two hours by a transformer fire on a light pole. The game ended at 12:40 AM today.
Boyertown scored a single run in the second inning and three runs in each of the next two to lock up the game. Walbeck broke through for a run in the sixth on an Evann Kesler RBI single, but Boyertown scored three in the bottom of the inning to end the game.

Penelec crews work to restore power to First Commonwealth Bank Field Saturday night.
