It has not been an especially busy weekend for Indiana County’s firefighters. Saltsburg was summoned to Route 286 in Westmoreland County at 4:56 AM today for an unnamed reason.
There have been two other incidents reported by Indiana County 911 this weekend. No report is available yet on a vehicle crash reported at 2:16 this morning on Fleming Road in Armstrong Township. Indiana firefighters were called to the scene, along with Citizens Ambulance Service.
The other incident was reported as a structure fire at 4:45 PM Saturday at a home along North 5th Street in Indiana. A plastic snack bag had been left in an oven and it caught fire. Borough police officers put it out with a fire extinguisher and firefighters ventilated the house.
