INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle that happened sometime last night or this morning. Between 7:30 last night and 12:13 this morning, someone took a tan carry bag that contained camo shorts, an orange cut-off t-shirt, and a black Springfield Armory .45 caliber pistol out of a car that was parked in the 100 block of North 4th Street. State Police were called out to a home in Saltsburg for a reported Gun Theft. The theft happened in the overnight hours of June 6th and 7th. Someone was able to get into a home in the 700 block of Wood Street and took an AR15-styled rifle. The thieves, identified only as a woman from Latrobe and a man from Saltsburg, fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.
State police say that no charges will be filed in a case of bad checks in the Lucernemines area. Police say that on May 23rd, a 99-year-old Armagh man met with a 47-year-old Lucernemines man to purchase merchandise. The Lucernemines man paid via check for $443. However, there were insufficient funds for the check. When the suspect and victim met a second time the victim was able to supply cash.
