IUP has earned a top 20 ranking for “Best Online Colleges and Universities” in the nation from a nationally recognized publisher of college resources and rankings.
EdSmart.org ranked IUP 19th in the nation with a score of 90.4 on their list of Best Online Colleges and Universities. An EdSmart spokesperson said that this ranking will allow students to compare accredited programs and find the ones that fit them. The ranking also includes graduation rates, which for IUP is at 56% and retention rates, which IUP rates at 72%.
In their review, EdSmart’s editors said that IUP not only offers online only or offline only, but hybrid classes as well.
IUP is one of only two Pennsylvania Universities to make the top 20. The other is Villanova.
