After a few weeks on the road, the IUP Crimson Hawks will play their first home game of the season against Mercyhurst for Hall of Fame/Family Weekend. IUP is 2-0 on the season, coming off a 44-21 win at Shippensburg on September 17th, while Mercyhurst is coming off a 50-31 loss to Kutztown.
QB Mak Sexton has been on fire to start the season. He is the first QB in IUP history to throw for 300 or more yards in each of his first two starts. The graduate transfer QB opened the season with 360 passing yards against East Stroudsburg before following it up with 339 yards through the air in a victory at Shippensburg. He may try to make it 3-3 today.
If you’re headed to the game today, the team is calling on all fans to wear black for the blackout effect in the stands. If you can’t make it to George P. Miller Stadium for the game, you can hear it on U-92.5 FM starting at 3:30 with the pregame show. The game can also be heard on U92Radio.com through the U-92.5 Sports Channel.
