For the first time in two years, a major fundraiser for IRMC’s Women’s Imaging Center will kick off its campaign with an in-person event that will be held tonight.
For the last two years, the traditional Love Of Life campaign kickoff event at the home of Christine Toretti has been cancelled due to concerns over Covid-19. The campaign, which has many other events throughout its annual run, will benefit the Women’s Imaging Center to help fight breast cancer. The funds raised will allow IRMC to have the latest technology available to diagnose and treat breast cancer. Through previous fundraisers, IRMC has been able to purchase 3-D mammography units at both the Women’s Imaging Center and at IRMC at Chestnut Ridge.
This year marks the 18th years for the Love of Life campaign. Another keynote event for the fundraiser, the Love of Life 5K, will be held October 15th. Signups for the benefit run/walk are already being accepted through the website www.loveoflife5k.com.
