The White Township Supervisors met last night and they discussed several items including the township building’s front doors.
The front doors to the office are heavy doors and Township Manager Milt Lady says even though they haven’t received formal complaints, borough employees have noticed that people are having some trouble opening them.

The supervisors approved hiring Glass Erectors out of Reynoldsville to set up an ADA system for the doors, which would allow the doors to open up at the push of a button.
In other business, the township purchased a new truck at $42,973. It will be for a Ford F-350 with crew cab and a 9 foot utility area along the side for tool storage. This is being done with money originally set aside to convert two brand new trucks to natural gas, but after not receiving as much state grant money as anticipated, that project was scrapped.
Also an announcement came in saying that the cell tower in White Townships’ recreation center is now up, but the tower is not activated just yet.
