The deputy director of the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development has been hired by Greensburg City Council to take over their planning office.
The Tribune-Review reports that Jeffrey Raykes was hired last night during a meeting of the Greensburg City Council. Raykes has been part of the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development for the past 13 years, and has been a part of several major projects including the extension of the Hoodlebug trail into Indiana Borough, and creating a bike path for that extension.
Raykes takes over for Barbara Ciampini, who was unexplainably fired by Greensburg City Council after she served 34 years in the city’s planning office. The reason for her firing was not made public.
