The Indiana Area School Board will focus on personnel at tonight’s board meeting.
The agenda shows a number of personnel items, including acceptance of the resignation of Assistant Superintendent Robert Rizzo and the elimination of the position of Assistant Superintendent. Rizzo resigned last month to become Assistant Superintendent of the Spring-Ford School District in Montgomery County. Indiana Area intends to replace the position of Assistant Superintendent with the newly-created position of Director of Education. The board will vote on a candidate for the new position tonight but does not include the name on the agenda.
Also on tonight’s agenda are votes on the hiring of an Assistant High School Principal, two elementary school teachers, a music teacher, a school psychologist, and a special education teacher.
The board will also vote on a salary adjustment for Business Manager Jared Cronauer. The agenda lists a vote on hiring Bill Thompson as the new baseball coach, and the setting of admission rates for a number of sporting events.
