At a kickoff event Thursday night, the United Way announced its goal for the 2022 fundraising campaign.

At the IUP Memorial Field House, members of the IUP and Indiana Warriors rugby team revealed the total of $622,222.22 after showing a rugby demo for the crowd. Campaign co-chair Amanda Hilliard said that the big inspiration was that there were a lot of twos going around the campaign.
The other co-chair, Chris Adams, said that he wanted to hold the event at the Memorial Field House because it was a natural fit for incorporating the athletic theme of the evening, and it’s a venue he knows very well.
