As always, Mack Park in Indiana will be humming today for the Fourth of July, as the YMCA of Indiana County, Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and the J.S. Mack Foundation sponsor the Star Spangled Celebration for all ages.
Activities begin at 2 o’clock with the band Told Ya So! Taking the stage, followed at 4 by the group Re-Wired, and at 6 by 7 Mile Run. Then at 7:30, the Summit Praise Band performs. The Fourth of July festivities conclude at around 10 PM, of course capped off with a brilliant fireworks display sponsored by Colonial Toyota, which is scheduled for 9:45.
Admission to the grounds is three dollars per person or ten dollars per family. There will be a dunk tank, an auto show, family games, vendors, a kids’ zone, veterans salute, a beer garden and wine walk for those age 21 and over, raffles and more.
Another highlight of the Fourth of July each year is the Red Cross blood drive at the Indiana Mall. It’s scheduled today from 8 AM to 1:30 PM.
