Two people face drug-related charges for an incident Tuesday afternoon at an Indiana hotel.
State police do not identify the two by name but they say the woman, a 34-year-old from Homer City and the man, a 37-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio, had outstanding warrants out for their arrest. Troopers initially made contact with the two of them around 2:18 PM at the Ramada by Wyndham on Wayne Avenue. When troopers spoke with the woman, they smelled marijuana coming from her car, and found marijuana and a grinder in her car. When troopers later searched the hotel room later that day, they found two bags of suspected cocaine, empty sandwich bags, a scale, and other items in the hotel safe.
Officers from Indiana Borough Police assisted troopers on-scene.
The two were taken into custody without incident and are currently in Indiana County Jail on the warrants. Drug-related charges against both suspects are pending.
