PANTHERS LOSE KEY BASKETBALL FORWARD

Pitt basketball forward William Jeffress has an injured foot and will miss six weeks of the preseason, according to coach Jeff Capel.  Jeffress started sixteen games last season and averaged 3.3 points per game.

Pitt opens training camp on September 26^th and will play two exhibition games, against Clarion on October 22^nd and Edinboro on November 2^nd.  The season opens November 7^th against Tennessee-Martin at the Petersen Events Center.  The Panthers’ first ACC game will be December 2^nd at NC State.
