Negotiations for a new contract for State System of Higher Education coaches resume yesterday in Harrisburg, with the two sides discussing the proposals they exchanged last month. The coaches’ contract expired on Sunday, as did the State System faculty contract. Both the faculty and coaches are represented by APSCUF, the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties.
The next contract talks for coaches are scheduled for August 5th and 6th. Faculty negotiating sessions are scheduled for July 17th and 18th and the 22nd and 23rd.
State law requires that the expired contracts remain in effect until new ones are ratified.
