The Penguins start rookie camp on Thursday and the training camp for the full squad begins on September 22nd, and while the camp roster of hopefuls seems complete, some former Pens are finding new homes.
That includes forward Evan Rodrigues, who scored 19 goals for Pittsburgh last season. He signed yesterday with the Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche.
Former Penguin Dominick Simon has signed with a team in his native Czechia; former Pens Carter Rowney and Adam Johnson have signed with teams in Germany; and defenseman Nathan Beaulieu, who never played a game for the Penguins after being acquired in a trade with Winnipeg, has signed a tryout contract with Anaheim.
One key Penguin from last season, fourth line center Brian Boyle, has not signed with any team.
