The storms that struck Indiana County yesterday had emergency responders active all day and long into the night, and the forecast has them on the alert again today.
It got so bad yesterday that Indiana County 911 could not post individual dispatches until late in the evening, and then it was just a single announcement noting all of the responders under the heading “miscellaneous”. The single item says, “Indiana, Blairsville, Saltsburg, Blacklick, Clymer, Coral-Graceton, Homer City, Marion Center, Armagh, Brush Valley, Creekside, Aultman, Coal Run, Iselin, Tunnelton, Plumville (fire companies) dispatched to multiple flooded basements, roadway debris throughout the (county).”
The National Weather Service flood warning issued at 2:59 AM today says three to four inches of rain had fallen to that point and up to two inches more is expected today. As always, you are advised to not try to drive through flooded roadways.
