IUP is poised to open its season tomorrow night at East Stroudsburg. The Crimson Hawks will be kicking off their season while the Warriors will be playing their second game, having lost last week to Pace University.
While East Stroud is traditionally known as a team that puts points on the scoreboard, coach Paul Tortorella says their defense is much improved, and in fact their 4-2-5 scheme is much like IUP’s defense.
The game kicks off at 6:00 tomorrow night on 92.5 FM U92 and the U92 Sportschannel.
All of the teams in the PSAC play Saturday football within the conference, and all in the east this week. Gannon is at Millersville; Slippery Rock visits West Chester; Cal travels to Kutztown; Edinboro is at Shepherd; Shippensburg hosts Seton Hill; Clarion plays at Bloomsburg; and Mercyhurst will play at Lock Haven.
