The Steelers have a new concern with wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who is already dealing with a shoulder injury suffered two weeks ago in a preseason game against Detroit. Johnson was limited yesterday and had to leave with cramps, but he reportedly did return to the field late in the practice.
Defensive end Cam Heyward sat out practice as coach Mike Tomlin gave him a rest and starting left tackle Chuks Okorafor was held out with a sore back.
The Steelers/Bengals season opener Sunday will be on WDAD, with the pregame at noon.
