THURSDAY VOLLEYBALL, SOCCER, AND GOLF RESULTS

VOLLEYBALL

Homer-Center shut out Cambria Heights in volleyball yesterday, three sets to none.  The Wildcats took the match 25-20, 25-15, and 25-15.

Meegan Williams had 14 kills and Ashlyn Kerr had 6.  Macy Sardone had 6 aces and 31 assists.  Molly Kosmack had 5 blocks.

Homer-Center won the JV game, 2-0.

BOYS SOCCER

North Catholic nipped Indiana in overtime, 3-2.  Indiana fell to 2-4, and 1-3 in the section.

BOYS GOLF

River Valley topped Homer-Center by 30 strokes at the Chestnut Ridge Golf resort yesterday.  Jake Pynos and Jeremy Reed shared medalist honors, both shooting 40.  Cole Stuchal and Holden Fridley each shot 49.  Homer-Center was led by Caden Vitale’s 46 and Marcus Coy’s 48.

RT 22 BIKE-PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
