Another accusation of theft by deception has been filed against an Indiana contractor who pleaded guilty in several other similar cases deception earlier this month.
32-year-old Tony Busija, owner of Busija Remodeling LLC, is charged with failing to even begin work for which he was paid a deposit last July at a home in White Township. The victim, Thomas Buchanon, paid Busija to replace a roof and gutters. A single charge of theft by deception was filed yesterday.
On June 9th, Busija pleaded in multiple cases to 21 charges of theft by deception and a single count of bad checks. In May, he pleaded guilty to a changed charge of disorderly conduct in a theft be deception case for a roofing job in Punxsutawney and was ordered to pay restitution of $3,300 plus a fine and court costs.
He’s scheduled for sentencing in Indiana County Court on August 28th. He is due before District Judge Susanne Steffee on July 31st for a preliminary hearing on the new charge.
