After battling through adversity and still posting a winning record in the first half of the Eastern League season, Altoona Manager Michael Ryan must deal with yet another roster move that will cost him his top hitter.
Infielder Hunter Owen, who leads the Curve with a .298 batting average, 15 home runs, and 44 RBI, has been promoted to Indianapolis, where he is apparently going to play some outfield.
After an off day yesterday, Altoona opens a three-game series at Hartford tonight. Domingo Robles (1-1, 2.78 ERA) starts for the Curve.
