The Indiana County Court schedule today includes DUI Criminal Call cases, probation revocation hearings, and one sentencing.
48-year-old Jeffrey Scott Stokes of Ernest pleaded guilty in January to aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age and statutory sexual assault of a person 11 years of age of older. Both are felonies. The incident happened on January 1st of last year. Stokes was charged last October after an investigation that began in August.
The probation revocations include 53-year-old Walter Charles Bowser, who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in 2012 and is subject to lifetime registration with state police under the state’s Megan’s Law. He has an active case for failure to register last January, and was also involved in a heroin possession case resulting from a traffic stop in January in Allegheny County.
There is also a probation revocation hearing for 24-year-old Gage Darney of Kittanning, who in 2015 pleaded guilty in the $1 million arson fire at the V-King plant in Center Township and was sentenced to six months to two years in prison plus five years of probation.
