A good start to the second half of the season for the Altoona Curve, as they beat Harrisburg 3-1 last night. James Marvel went 7-and-two-thirds innings, striking out nine, and giving up only one run and four hits. He retired the last nine batters he faced en route to his seventh win. Matt Eckelman earned his tenth save. Mitchell Tolman was 3-for-4 with runs scored and Hunter Owen was 2-for-4, including an RBI double in the third.
The Curve are off today and open a three-game series with the Hartford Yard Goats tomorrow night.
