Old Routes 119 and 22 will be worked on starting Monday, June 24th and that will mean a change in traffic patterns.
PennDOT announced in a news release that both roads will be restricted to one lane of alternating traffic, controlled by flaggers in Center and Burrell Townships and Homer City and Blairsville areas. Both roads will be resurfaced.
Old Route 22’s resurfacing will go from the intersection with Hilltop Drive and end at the Walmart in Blairsville, while the Old Route 119 project will start at the intersection with Route 119 and end at Greenville Road. The whole project will also include repairing and rehabbing storm drainage and the installation of pedestrian curb ramps.
Both projects are expected to wrap up in mid-October.
