State police report the arrest of 28-year-old Ayla Mae Binion of Home on charges that she burglarized at least three vehicles on May 19th. She was caught inside a garage by a homeowner at 4 AM that morning and was detained until police arrived.
The incidents took place along Pearce Hollow Road in Rayne Township. Police say several items were stolen from multiple unlocked vehicles, and the door was open in the garage in which she was caught.
At a preliminary hearing on Tuesday before District Judge Susanne Steffee, Binion waived to trial all of the charges against her, which include four felonies, for burglary (with physical injury for the victim), theft, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief. Additional charges include ten misdemeanors, five for theft, four for receiving stolen property, and one for loitering and prowling at night; and a summary count of harassment for physical contact with a victim.
Binion pleaded guilty to access device fraud on May 5th, and was sentenced to a year probation. She’s being held at the Indiana County Jail on $25,000 bond.
