The Indiana School board met last night and approved several items that will help the district get ready for the school year. Among them was approval to start a chapter of the Evergreen After School Club in the district.
The Program will target Kindergarten through Third grade students to start with, with the possibility to expand to 4th and 5th grades later on. District Superintendent Michael Vukovich said it was a great opportunity for students to get tutoring and homework help.

The board also approved an agreement with Dr. Maryann Anderson to conduct an audit of the district’s speech and language programming at a cost of $2000 plus mileage. This is to determine if a position is needed in the department or if it is not needed and can be eliminated to save more money.
The district’s next meeting will be June 24th, and the district is expected to approve the budget during that meeting.
