A couple of Indiana County school boards are scheduled to meet tonight, including Indiana Area, which has an agenda full of preparatory items for the next school year.
That agenda includes the applying for three competitive school safety grants from the state Department of Education’s Office of Safe Schools. The grants would be for equipment, programs, and school police.
The agenda also includes the creation of a school psychologist position and a behavior support specialist position. Also tonight, the board will consider several curriculum revisions, and some personnel items, including assistant coaches at the Junior High level in soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and basketball.
Purchase Line’s school board meets for a work session tonight, but they have not published the agenda.
