Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi is reaching into the Panthers’ past to give the pregame speech to his team before the Backyard Brawl against West Virginia on Thursday. Narduzzi says former Pitt player and coach Dave Wannstedt will serve as honorary captain and “educate” his players on what the West Virginia rivalry means.
Narduzzi says he is a longtime admirer of the fiery Wannstedt.
Narduzzi says the Panthers need to shift into regular-season mode now that they’re playing a real game on Thursday.
Thursday’s game kicks off at 7 PM. You’ll hear it on FM 101.1 and AM 1160, WCCS.
