Mike Moustakas homered twice among his four hits, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Pirates, 11-5, Thursday night in the opener of a four-game series.
Colin Moran homered in the fourth for Pittsburgh. Joe Musgrove allowed five runs and 11 hits in six innings.
Josh Bell extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a double in the second. Bell has 24 extra-base hits in May, tying the Pirates’ record for the most in any month. Paul Waner also had 24 in June 1927 and August 1928.
