It’s a busy day in Indiana County Court today, with a number of defendants appearing before the bench for sentencing.
Most of the cases are for driving under the influence or for possession of a controlled substance. DUI defendants who have already pleaded guilty and who be sentenced include Jason Sestina of Manasquan, New Jersey; Jason Coy of Johnstown; Luke Tortorella of Indiana; William Ferguson of Kittanning; Jerry Gensamer of Hollidaysburg; and Timothy Hollabaugh of Homer City. Hollabaugh will also be sentenced in another case, for a guilty plea to disorderly conduct.
Twenty-five defendants will both plead and be sentenced in DUI cases. Almost all of them also involve traffic offenses.
Two defendants, 35-year-old David Bratcher of Alverda and 41-year-old James Turiano of Hollidaysburg, will plead to DUI and theft charges.
