State Police have filed retail theft charges against two Indiana residents for a swipe-and-swap involving about $180 worth of merchandise at the White Township Walmart store on Sunday afternoon.
Police say 41-year-old David Walter Lee and 47-year-old Tonia Sue Yeager took EZLink 8-foot lights and Motor GB cords and left the store, and moments later Lee re-entered and returned the stolen items at the service desk. Both suspects have criminal records in Indiana County. Yeager has an active case from May 1st, in which she’s charged with making repairs to or selling offensive weapons.
State Police are also investigating two other thefts. Someone stole cash from a purse that had been mistakenly left in the restroom at the Ruby Tuesday restaurant along Oakland Avenue on Saturday night. Police do not say how much was taken. The victim is a 40-year-old Apollo woman.
A 26-year-old Green Township man reported to police that a thief cut off and stole the gas tank from a Ford Explorer parked in a wooded area near Allison Road in Green Township. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 357-1960.
