It’s a very busy day for the Indiana County courts today, with sentencing hearings, Plea Court, a non-jury trial, probation revocations, summary appeals proceedings, and ninety-five scheduled formal arraignments.
In Plea Court, 45-year-old Jeannie Lee Manning of Johnstown will enter pleas to answer thirteen charges each of forgery and theft by deception, with all twenty-six offenses felony grade. Manning had applied for ARD (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition) , but the victim would not agree.
29-year-old Ian Sparkman of Indiana will plead to a single misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of children.
23-year-old Hailey Page Rose of Blairsville will plead to possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia.
There will be a non-jury trial before Judge Michael Clark for 34-year-old Alysha Rand of Homer City, who is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.
Defendants scheduled for sentencing today include:
- 36-year-old Michael Lee Powell Jr. of Indiana, who pleaded guilty to felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance;
- 23-year-old Brandon Crissman of Rossiter, for simple assault in one case, and for assault by a prisoner for a fight while he was incarcerated for the first offense;
- 30-year-old Zachary Neva Davis of New Derry, for misdemeanor endangering the welfare of children, with two felony counts of the same offense not prosecuted;
- 19-year-old John David Langham of Clymer, for conspiracy to robbery and conspiracy to simple assault. He was one of three suspects caught robbing a man after video of the incident appeared on social media last November.
