Down in the minor leagues, it was a pitcher’s duel between the Altoona Curve and the Portland Sea Dogs, but in the end, the Sea Dogs edged the Curve 1-0. Altoona’s James Marvel went six and two-thirds innings and struck out eight on two hits and walked three, but the Altoona offense was non-existent. This marks the fourth loss in a row for the curve to start their road trip. Both teams play again today.
