The top-seeded Bishop McCort Crushers beat Northern Cambria, 9-8, Friday in the District 6 2A softball semifinals to earn a championship game matchup with Marion Center next Wednesday (2:30) at St. Francis University.
Trailing 8-4, the Colts tied the game with a 4-run 6th inning, forcing the game into extra innings. Bishop McCort pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the 8th.
No. 2 Marion Center beat Southern Huntingdon, 3-2, with a two-run bottom of the seventh on Thursday in the other semifinal.
