Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said yesterday that the video proves what everybody already knew…the offensive line played poorly Saturday night against Jacksonville.
Tomlin says there is a lot of room for improvement.
The Steelers practiced at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex yesterday as they moved operations back home from Saint Vincent College. Tomlin said this week will be much more like a typical regular season week.
The Steelers will take on the Detroit Lions Sunday in the final preseason game, and the coach says there will be jobs won and lost.
Cam Heyward was back to work after turning an ankle last week. Linebacker Devin Bush sat out with an ankle injury and offensive lineman Joe Haeg is in concussion protocol. Linebacker Alex Highsmith said he hopes to be able to play Sunday as he works his way back from a rib injury.
The Steelers have signed former Ravens and Rams offensive tackle Adrian Ealy after LA released him last week. They waived tackle Jordan Tucker.

Tom Brady returned to the Tampa Bay Bucs yesterday after skipping a week to vacation with his family in the Bahamas. Pro Football Network reports Brady told the team the trip was planned before his decision to return for his 23rd NFL season in March, just after his initial retirement announcement. The team says it stands behind Brady’s decision.
Carolina coach Matt Rhule has announced that Baker Mayfield has beaten out Sam Darnold for the starting quarterback job, at least for Week One. Mayfield will start against his former team, the Cleveland Browns.
