George B. Sinick, 84, of Home, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
A son of the late John and Mina Mosley Sinick, he was born Feb. 17, 1935, in White Station.
Mr. Sinick was a 1953 graduate of Marion Center High School, where he played basketball and was team captain. He had been a sales clerk at Ash Shoes. Mr. Sinick had also worked at 700 Shop and Don Miller Shoes. He liked to collect old coins and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Sexton Sinick, of Home; two children: Shelby Rice, of Seattle, Wash.; and Edward G. Sinick, of Indiana; two half-brothers: Howard Stiffler, of Indiana; and Larry Stiffler and wife Cindy, of Ernest; one grandchild, Yadria Perez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: John Sinick, Frank Sinick, Mike Sinick; three sisters: Julia Fink, Mary Gresco, Rose Uber; and a half-brother, Ralph Stiffler.
There is no visitation. Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Robinson-Lytle, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
