Mike Tomlin knows the Steelers played a subpar football game Saturday night at Jacksonville, but he says it’s better to learn your lessons while getting a win, even though this win was in preseason.
Tomlin says Jacksonville outplayed the Steelers.
Tomlin would have liked to have seen Kenny Pickett with more playing time, but the Steelers didn’t give Pickett and some of the other young players enough chances.
The Steelers have one more preseason game, at home next Sunday against Detroit. It will kick off at 4:30 PM, with the pregame on WDAD at 2:30.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers expect Tom Brady to return to the team this week. Head coach Todd Bowles confirmed Brady is expected to be back “early” in the week after sitting out more than 10 days due to personal reasons. Brady hasn’t played in either of the Bucs’ two preseason games so far and will likely sit out their final exhibition tuneup.
