Kenny Pickett was 6-of-7 with a touchdown pass and Mason Rudolph completed 17 of 21 passes with another score as the Steelers beat Jacksonville, 16-15, in the season’s second preseason game.
Pickett led a five-play 63-yard drive as the first half wound down, tossing an 11-yard scoring pass to Benny Snell Jr. with 23 seconds left in the second quarter to give the Steelers a 7-6 lead.
After Rudolph was called for intentional grounding from the end zone, giving the Jaguars an 8-7 lead on a safety, which they later extended to 15-7, Rudolph redeemed himself with field goal and touchdown drives in the fourth quarter, capping the scoring with a 1-yard scoring pass to Tyler Snead on fourth-and-one.
The Steelers will return home for their final preseason game next Sunday afternoon against Detroit.
