The Indiana Regional Medical Center announced today that it was granted accreditation by a Pittsburgh-based cardiovascular specialty center.
In a news release, IRMC received accreditation from Corazon, Inc., after it was determined that the hospital met the Corazon standards for Chest Pain Center accreditation after demonstrating its commitment to providing the highest quality level care to their patients.
Chief Medical Officer at IRMC Dr. Richard Neff said that receiving the accreditation “is a testimony to the hard work and dedication from our cath lab staff, physicians, nurses, administration, Citizens’ Ambulance and other team members in providing state-of-the-art care to patients in our community who are suffering from a heart attack and require emergent cardiac procedures.”
Neff also credited the IRMC-Butler team for their team-oriented approach and timely care.
Corazon, Inc., is a national leader in cardiovascular service and has worked with more than 600 hospitals nationwide to implement best-practice PCI programs.
