The Indiana School Board met last night and gave their approval to a tentative budget that would include no tax increases.
The budget would top out at $56,811,595, but the district is looking at its expenditures exceeding revenue by about $1.6 to $1.7 million. Julia Trimarchi-Cuccaro, the chair of the audit and finance committee, said that having no tax increases for the final budget is the ultimate goal.

The budget will be up for approval at the June 24th meeting.
In other business, the district paid tribute once again to Mason McCauley, a district student who died in an automobile crash Saturday night. Superintendent Michael Vuckovich said he was proud of the Lacrosse team organizing the special tribute held Sunday night at Andy Kuzneski Field, and he was also proud of those who took part.

Finally, as a reminder, there is no special meeting in May. The next meeting for the Indiana School Board will be June 10th.
